John Hollowell is our principal landscape architect. All design work is reviewed and often drawn by him.
 

A graduate of Michigan State University, John Hollowell is licensed landscape architect and builder. John has been a guest speaker and critic for Michigan State University, University of Michigan, Lawrence Institute of Technology, and Matthaei Botanical Gardens.
 
John's hobbies include micro-car restoration and traveling northern Michigan.

Reid Hollowell was born on the seat of a skid loader-okay, not really, but he has been working along side his father since he was old enough to walk. Reid's specialty as one client stated is "Michael Angelo with a skid loader!"

 
A graduate of Kalamazoo College, Reid earned degrees in Economics and Fine Art. His hobbies are antique micro-car restoration and the study of marine ecosystems.



 
 

 

 
 
 
Sarah Glasco is our one woman office crew! She has worked here for 10 years managing all aspects of the office, building and maintaining our website, and organizing general chaos!
 
Sarah attended Eastern Michigan University. She is a certified 7-12 teacher in English and Speech and has a Masters Degree in Literature.
 
For fun Sarah fixes up vintage bikes, renovates her 1840's home, flys remote-controlled airplanes, and volunteers at the Ypsilanti Historic Museum.
 

 
 

 
 


 
 
Pat Schrock is always working! He's spent his daily 8-4 here for about 8 years. Around here his specialties are  custom carpentry and stone patios.
 

In his spare time he operates a private recording studio, fixes music equipment, and renovates his house.

 
Anyone that's been near Pat on a job could guess his musical inclinations, as he's often found whistling while he works :c) Pat has a degree from U of M, Ann Arbor in Sound Engineering.







 
Peter Leite has been working here for about 9 years. His speciality is metal fabrication. One of our favorite of Peter's creations is the mini two wheeler composed of various parts found in the garbage!


Peter graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in Industrial Design. He also has his certificate in welding.
 
Peter enjoys working on and riding in his Jeep and motorcycle, playing water sports, and watching movies.




 
 

 



 
 
Todd Herbst has worked for JH&A for 7 years. It's hard to narrow down what Todd's 'specialty' would be -as he does a lot of the dirty work. Although he does it all with a smile, we think his specialties are sprinkler systems and masonry.

 
Todd graduated from from Western Michigan University with degrees in Enviromental Studies & Business. He just completed an environmental (SCA) internship in Colorado!
 

He spends his spare time wrenching on old motorcycles and working with various sustainable environment programs.
 

 
 

 
 
 
Kate Wilson's smile is the newest addition to the JH&A crew! She has worked here for 3 years and her artistic touch is always appreciated! Her specialties are mosaic tile work and attention to detail.
 

Kate received degrees from Michigan State University in Animal Behavior and Neurobiology.


Kate's hobbies are too many to list but among them are hiking, biking, running, drawing and traveling.
